The truth is, I love to read. I am an absolute bookworm. If I could just spend a weekend tucked away with a pile of books and a fridge filled with snacks, I would be all set. But there are so many encouraging books for moms! How do you choose!?
Well, trust me when I tell you – I’ve done my research. And these are the 7 MUST READ books for all super moms. (And that’s totally you, by the way.)
Maybe you don’t know it yet, but you are the best mom in the world. God made you a mom for a very specific reason. The kids you have are yours because you are their perfect mom.
I know, I know – it’s crazy, right?
There are days when I feel less than. And there are definitely days when I don’t feel like anyone’s perfect anything.
But my kids were given to me, because I’m the right one to raise them. When I do my best to parent with kindness and thoughtfulness and good intention, I know that I am the ultimate Super Mom.
And, dude, so are you.
…but here are the 7 must read books for moms that will help me prove it.
This book is a reminder that you are not alone. Through all of the ups and downs and the daily struggles that motherhood can bring, there are countless women that have been there before. They know exactly what you’re going through.
Motherhood is beautiful, but it can also be really challenging. Children offer us so many opportunities to grow and learn. They teach us things about ourselves as we try to raise them in the best ways we know how – and maybe those things are ones we didn’t really want to learn.
The Magic of Motherhood is filled with lovely essays from moms that have been through it all. Sit back and connect with these inspiring women, as you remember that you too, are a Super Mom.
This one is a definite on our encouraging books for moms list!
This book teaches moms how to stop and take a 5-minute break to meditate and focus in when it’s important.
Often, life pulls us in every direction – and, before we know it, an entire day (or week!) has passed without us even realizing it. We’re so busy going through the motions that we don’t stop to center ourselves. Time just zips on by.
Breathe, Mama, Breathe helps its readers to learn quick tricks to find focus in a chaotic world. All you need is 5-minutes to center yourself and find your balance.

When you just need a laugh, join authors Cat and Nat as they weave a tale about life as a mom: the good, the bad, and the very ugly.
These two women started an online community where ladies could share the inside scoop of parenting. There, they found that most homes had experienced similar (hilarious!) adventures when it came to raising their kids.
Cat and Nat tell their stories doused in laughter, so Mom Truths is a great choice when you need a pick-me-up on your Super Mom journey.

I love that The Empowered Mama is a workbook – meant to be completed by a mom who needs help balancing it all. You might be a working mom or a stay-at-home mom or a combination of both! This book can help you find that grounded center you’ve been looking for.
Included in this book is a Languages of Love Challenge to complete with your partner and a fun Wheel of Life exercise to help you balance and prioritize your most important tasks.
I’d say The Empowered Mama is an all-inclusive option for a Super Mom just looking for a little nudge to reconnect with herself.
Sometimes, we simply need the reminder that it’s okay to just be.
In our world of Super Moms (I’m talking to you, here, remember!), there is a push to always be the best. We feel the need to be the most organized and the most successful. Our kids need to be involved in everything and have to get the best grades in school. We feel obligated to take part in every organization and volunteer opportunity that comes our way.
But the truth is, life is messy – and complicated. And maybe we’re better off embracing the mess.
Present Over Perfect offers mamas a reminder to just live in-the-moment and accept life as it is – what an encouraging book for mom! Forget racing towards perfection – there’s more to life than that.
Not your typical book-to-read, this precious gem is a place to write down a brief thought or two every day.
My sister gifted me this book when my oldest was 3 months old and we are now on our second copy. I love the idea of maintaining a journal, but it’s just a little too much work for me to actually get done. This, on the other hand, is completely doable since I only need to write down a few sentences about our day!
I highly recommend the Mom’s One-Line-a-Day Journal for any super mom (or mom-to-be!) to serve as a memory capsule of the different stages of mom life. Easy to do, but a very special keepsake for years to come!
That’s it! Those are my 7 MUST READ Books for All Super Moms!
I’m sure there are dozens more that I could list (because #bookworm), but these offer such a great and comprehensive start for encouraging mamas to be the best versions of themselves.
Absolutely every mom is a Super Mom. But, sometimes, it sure can help to be reminded.
